North Carolina Trip

We took a trip down south to North Carolina for Julie's wedding and an extended beach vacation with the Plattsenheimer crew.

Needless to say, hilarity ensued.

Just sittin' here mindin' my own business...

Peek-a-boo!

Pure joy.

Mind the gap (between the teeth, that is)

Speaking of, Amanda treated me to a hang gliding adventure as an early birthday present!

Happy First Birthday!

Theodore celebrated his first birthday on June 11! No first birthday would be complete without a messy cupcake and some music. Joy!

Memorial Day at Storm King

We spent Memorial Day with the cousins up at Storm King.

Aunt Sis had an old helmet that fit just right on Theo's head.

Uncle Dr. Ascot & Aunt Sis were celebrating their anniversary. Cousin T-Bird recreated the bubbles from their wedding.

If you'd like to see the whole batch take a look here. There's roughly 1 million photos of Theo sitting in the grass.

Frequent Flyer

Theodore was back flying the friendly skies last week as we made a trip to Dallas/Fort Worth for a wedding.

I came back from the restroom to find this happy guy in my seat!

The High Line

This week we took a trip to The High Line, which is "a public park built on a 1.45-mile-long elevated rail structure running from Gansevoort Street to 34th Street on Manhattan's West Side."

We had heard great things, and on Matt's last day of spring break, we decided to make the trip.

Amanda noticed that a few of the lounge chairs were built from stacked wood and have wheels that operate on a track. The train-track motif was repeated tastefully along the walk.

Detail of the mobile lounge chair.

The Standard Hotel is situated right above the southern stretch of the High Line. If you look closely you can see Theo and Mommy on that bench.

We can dig it.

There were all sorts of excellent design elements as we walked along the path. These colored windows were in an underpass as we walked beneath a building.

Lookin' good mommy.

Lookin' good Daddy.

Thinking Inside the Box

As prophesied by parents throughout the ages, no toy can compare with the box it came it in. One morning Amanda looked over and saw that Theo was had figured out how to get into the box and seemed to be enjoying himself quite thoroughly.

We believe this video sums it all up.

Picnic Party

This past weekend was a winner weather wise (alliteration anyone?). We met up with the family and had ourselves a picnic.

Theo's Fantastic Voyage

What's Happening?

Theo's been having lots of good times recently. Here are a few photos to catch you up on what's been happening.

Pure Joy.

Aaron & Ayako came for brunch - yeah!

We went to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and saw some oranges on a tree.

Almost there!

Snowday!

During the Snowpocolypse, Dad had a day off from work. We went over to Prospect Park to see what Brooklyn was up to. Theo came along for the journey and made a few friends.
